Mr. Steier’s academic accomplishments include earning his CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers and earning a specialized MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of Miami, where he received the Order of Merit and currently serves as a healthcare sector Board Member. He also holds Master’s in Education and Doctorate in Organizational Learning degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, where his dissertation on ‘Leaders as Teachers’ earned academic distinction, and he became a Wharton Fellow.
Mr. Steier received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bellarmine University, where he was a scholarship athlete, has been inducted into the Distinguished Gallery Of Alumni and served on the University’s Board of Overseers for over 8 years.
He also serves on the following civic boards: Greater Louisville Inc Board of Directors, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, University of Louisville Advisory Board, University of Louisville School of Public Health Board (Current Chair), Sacred Heart Board of Trustees, Thrive Center Board (Current Chair), and the Louisville CEO Council Board. Mr. Steier serves as Chairmen of Bearno’s Pizza inc., Steier Properties, and NBA2LOU, a civic business movement to bring the NBA to Louisville.
In addition, Mr. Steier served in the Bellarmine University President’s Society, the University of Miami Hurricane Club and several other groups. He was named one of the city’s top ‘40 Under 40’ professionals and a ‘Healthcare Leader of the Year,’ both by Business First of Louisville. He also received Community Health Charities of Kentucky’s ‘Champions in Health Leadership Award,’ and was named one of the ‘50 Most Influential Louisvillians’ by Louisville Magazine. He was named to the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2017.
